A 16-year-old girl, Emani Kure, has been arrested by the Abuja police command, for hacking her 40-year-old father, Kusha Kure, to death at their home in Karavan on March 11th because he refused to allow her marry her 24-year-old married boyfriend, Nasiru Musa. The spokesperson for the Federal Road Safety Corps, Mr. Bisi Kazeem, who confirmed the incident to our correspondent on Friday, said the victims have been taken to the hospital. “No life was lost,” Kazeem said. A fuel tanker caught fire on Otedola Bridge outward Lagos on Thursday evening. Officials of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency and Lagos Fire Service have been mobilised, reports the rapid Response Squad via its Twitter handle, @rrslagos767. The RRS said its men were “on ground to manage the situation.” The fire has reportedly been brought under control as men of the Lagos State Fire Service are at the scene of the fire accident. The fire involved a fuel tanker and about 30 vehicles. The Federal Road Safety Corps confirmed the story, even as it warned road users to avoid the scene of the inferno. As of the time of filing this report, tens of vehicles were caught in the inferno, and many feared dead.

The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, LASEMA, has confirmed nine people dead and 53 vehicles burnt in the aftermath of the fuel tanker explosion on Otedola Bridge, inward Berger area of Lagos, Southwest Nigeria on Thursday. General Manager, LASEMA, Adesina Tiamiyu told PM News that the tanker fell around 5:53pm and exploded, while vehicle behind it were caught in the fire. According to him, 53 vehicles were consumed in the inferno, describing the incident as a sad one. Tiamiyu added that officials of LASTMA, FRSC, LASEMA, Police, fire services, among others were still at the scene trying to evacuate the remains of the tanker and vehicles and free the road for vehicular movement.

A man has been arrested in Lagos for allegedly killing his partner. Also Read: Nigerian man give reason why some girls are so demanding. The suspect was arrested, this morning, on Balogun street in Oshodi, Lagos. He was said to have stuffed her inside a bucket and put the bucket on his head. He was, however, stopped and asked for the content of the bucket and he said it was dirts. The lifeless body of the woman was discovered after he was ordered to open it.
