A 16-year-old girl, Emani Kure, has been arrested by the Abuja police command, for hacking her 40-year-old father, Kusha Kure, to death at their home in Karavan on March 11th because he refused to allow her marry her 24-year-old married boyfriend, Nasiru Musa. A fuel tanker caught fire on Otedola Bridge outward Lagos on Thursday evening. Officials of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency and Lagos Fire Service have been mobilised, reports the rapid Response Squad via its Twitter handle, @rrslagos767. The RRS said its men were “on ground to manage the situation.” The fire has reportedly been brought under control as men of the Lagos State Fire Service are at the scene of the fire accident. The fire involved a fuel tanker and about 30 vehicles. The Federal Road Safety Corps confirmed the story, even as it warned road users to avoid the scene of the inferno. As of the time of filing this report, tens of vehicles were caught in the inferno, and many feared dead.

The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, LASEMA, has confirmed nine people dead and 53 vehicles burnt in the aftermath of the fuel tanker explosion on Otedola Bridge, inward Berger area of Lagos, Southwest Nigeria on Thursday. General Manager, LASEMA, Adesina Tiamiyu told PM News that the tanker fell around 5:53pm and exploded, while vehicle behind it were caught in the fire. According to him, 53 vehicles were consumed in the inferno, describing the incident as a sad one. Tiamiyu added that officials of LASTMA, FRSC, LASEMA, Police, fire services, among others were still at the scene trying to evacuate the remains of the tanker and vehicles and free the road for vehicular movement.

A man has been arrested in Lagos for allegedly killing his partner. Also Read: Nigerian man give reason why some girls are so demanding. The suspect was arrested, this morning, on Balogun street in Oshodi, Lagos. He was said to have stuffed her inside a bucket and put the bucket on his head. He was, however, stopped and asked for the content of the bucket and he said it was dirts. The lifeless body of the woman was discovered after he was ordered to open it. The police in Delta state have arrested 55-year-old clergyman, Prophet Moses Urovbu of the God Revival Prayer Ministry, based in Ughelli, Delta state, for chaining and beating to death a 30-year-old man, Monday Edjedjere, brought to his church in search of healing for his mental ailment. According to The Sun, the prophet had placed the deceased on seven days dry fast, that is, fasting without food or water. Edjedjere was chained to a coconut tree at the back of the church during the duration of the dry fast and was constantly beaten with a holy water cane till he became too weak and died on April 2nd. Narrating what happened, the State Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Mustapha said on March 28th, the victim, Monday Edjedjere was taken to Prophet Urovbu for prayer and healing by his mother. Angry villagers have cut open a python’s belly after it swallowed a 54-year-old woman Wa Tiba, in her farm in Indonesia. Wa Tiba inside the python’s belly Tiba went missing while tending to her vegetable garden near her village on Muna Island in Southeast Sulawesi province on Thursday, according to the village chief, Faris.
